Start at your level
Sri Lanka has a range of surf settings, and the right choice depends on experience as well as season. A first lesson should focus on suitable conditions and clear instruction rather than a famous surf break.
Tell us whether you are a complete beginner or have surfed before. We can discuss adding lessons to a coastal stay in an appropriate area.

Conditions guide the day
Waves, currents and weather change. Follow the instructor’s assessment and be prepared to adjust or postpone a session.
Confirm the lesson duration, equipment, group size and suitability for children before booking. Never assume that a beach is safe for swimming simply because surfing takes place there.
Leave room to practise
If surfing is a priority, stay in one coastal base for several days rather than planning only a brief stop. That gives more room to learn and rest.
We can combine surf time with a wider island route while keeping the beach portion of the trip unhurried.
