Which park belongs in your trip?
Yala, Udawalawe and Wilpattu offer different safari landscapes and sit in different parts of the island. The right choice depends on your route, available time and the kind of experience you want, as well as wildlife interests.
An overnight stay near your selected park can reduce an early-morning drive. Two outings may provide more time to appreciate a landscape, but no number of visits guarantees a particular animal.

What a safari day involves
Expect time in a jeep, uneven tracks, changing light and periods of waiting. Pack drinking water, sun protection and something to keep dust off your camera. Discuss comfort or mobility needs before booking.
Park entry, jeep arrangements, timings and guide requirements should be confirmed as part of your quote. Access and routes can change, so avoid relying on an old itinerary for operational details.
Keep wildlife wild
Never request a closer approach that blocks an animal’s movement. Avoid feeding, calling to or touching animals, and do not encourage a driver to compete with other vehicles for a sighting.
For marine wildlife, choose an operator whose approach gives animals space and respects local rules. Boat trips remain subject to weather, sea conditions and availability.
